Blackheath Common is a fantastic walk. It's a little further out for us, but I particularly like it as it's beautifully wooded, the walkways are well established, it's spacious and vast. The main circular pathways are sanded for the comfort and use of the horses. We must have walked here more than a handful of times, and on more than one occasion have found ourselves lost (I think probably through the ladies talking and not realising quite how far we had ventured, I blame the girls anyway)

My favourate time to visit Blackheath is early morning, when it's dry, cold & crisp, the sky is clear and the sun is beaming. Beautiful!
